Achari Murg Recipe, How to make Amritsari Achari Murg Recipe | Licious Product Review - Another fantastic recipe of spicy pickled chicken curry. Best accompaniment with butter naan or simple roti, jeera rice and salad.

This is so aromatic, flavorful and delicious murg recipe. This dish has been made in the North-India, which makes it slightly spicy, tangy and more flavorful. It was absolutely a total delicacy. 


Trust me, this is really super yummy chicken recipe and tastes wonderfully. I made this achari murg using with aromatic dry herbs and spices. My husband especially was pleasantly surprised while eating this :D

The marinated chicken which I recieved from it's already marinated by black cardamom, cinnamon, fenugreek, and onion seeds. So I have made my own twist on the recipe using with marinated chicken.



Review of Licious Marinated Achari Murg- 

This is really fantastic dish of spicy pickled chicken curry. This dish is slightly spicy, tangy and more flavorful. It was absolutely a total delicacy for us. We really like this super yummy marinated chicken and tastes wonderfully. My husband especially was pleasantly surprised while eating this. Most delectable flavors and a memorable after taste.  This is good news for Bengalurians, you can order fresh and flavorful marinated meat online. Best accompaniment with butter naan or simple roti, jeera rice and salad. 


Let's start the process of achari murg recipe with step by step method.

Ingredients :

Marinated Achari Murg/ Boneless Chicken - 250 gms
Chopped Onion - 1 small sized
Beaten Curd - 1/2 cup
Ginger-Garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp (adjust spices according to your taste)
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

Nigella seeds/ Kalonji - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds/Jeera - 1/4 tsp
Fennel Seeds / Saunf - 1/4 tsp
Fenugreek seeds/ Methi dana - 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
Chopped Coriander Leaves for garnish


Preparation Method :

1. Heat oil in kadai/pan/wok, add chopped onion cook till it brown.

2. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook it till it raw smell went. Now add all dry herbs cumin seeds, saunf, nigella seeds, fenugreek seeds, cook well but don't burnt it.

3. Add marinated chicken/without marinated chicken, add all spices - salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Mix well and cook it 10 to 15 minutes till the oil leaves around.

4. Add beaten curd and 1/2 cup of water(I added half cup of water for gravy), mix well.

5. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until chicken is tender - most of the liquid will have dried up. 

6. Switch off the flame, garnish achari murg with chopped coriander leaves. Serve with roti, jeera rice and a salad! Naans also go brilliantly with amritsari achari chicken.
