Spinach-Potato Veggie | Aloo-Palak

Learn How to make Spinach-Potato in a Punjabi delicacy which is very easy to make and tasty also. It is best served with roti, naan, paratha or any bread. It is best compliment with dal also. Chopped spinach and cubed potatoes tossed with other ingredients. Here, I am sharing my Aloo-Palak recipe, which is one of my favourite vegetarian dish.


Spinach (Chopped and wash) - 1 lb
Potatoes (peel and diced into small pieces) - 1 nos
Chopped Tomatoes - 1 nos
Salt to taste
Coriander Powder
Red chilli Powder
Chopped Green Chillies (optional) - 1 nos
Garam masala powder


1. Heat the oil in a Kadai/ pan. Add cubed potatoes and green chillies sauté for few mins. Add the chopped spinach /palak and tomatoes and mix well.

2. Add all spices like salt to taste, red chilli powder, coriander powder and mix well.

3. Cover an cook over a moderate heat for about 10 mins. Stir several times.

4. Cover , lowering the heat and cook for another 5 mins or until spinach water is soaked.

5. Serve with chapatti and hot parathas.
