Eggless Tutti Frutti Cake Recipe, How to make Eggless Tutti Frutti Cake | Semolina Cake

How to make Eggless Tutti Frutti Cake with step by step photos recipe - A simple and easy recipe of eggless "Tutti Frutti Cake" which is super soft in texture, light and moist.

Homemade cake was my favorite, since from childhood days. One of my mami (aunty) used to bake so many cakes and this is one of her best cake recipe which I remember.

As we are kids, aunty is more concern about our heath, so she usually make this cake using with fine semolina or sooji, but she didn't add tutti-frutti she prepare normal suji cake flavored with vanilla essence.

On her recipe, I just added one new ingredient tutti frutii to give nice colorful look to the cake. The aroma of this cake is awesome, I still remember the aroma while writing this recipe..aaahhhh yumm !!

This yummy and healthy cake recipe is prepared with semolina, curd, sugar, tutti frutti and few other ingredients which is normally used in baking. Yes, I have not used flour here except for coating the tutti frutti.

A soft and light cake. Here’s an easy, simple recipe of Eggless Tutti Frutti Cake with step by step photos –

Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Baking Time : 35 - 40 minutes
Recipe type : Cake/Baking

Ingredients  :

Fine Suji / Semolina - 1 plus 1/4 cup
Plain Yogurt/ Dahi/ Curd - 1/2 cup
Baking Powder - 3/4 tsp
Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp
Milk - 1/2 cup
Sugar / Powdered sugar - 1/2 to 3/4 cup
Tutti Frutti - 1/2 cup
Vegetable Oil - 1/4 cup
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Pinch of Salt

Preparation Method :

1. In a mixing bowl take fine suji, plain curd, milk, sugar and oil. Mix all the ingredients very well and keep aside for 15 minutes.

2. After 15 minutes, the consistency should appear like the Idly batter. If it appears thick, add little milk ( 1 tsp at at time) and give a good stir.

3. Grease the cake pan with little oil  or line it with parchment paper. Preheat the oven at 180 degree C.

4. Add baking soda, baking powder, pinch of salt and vanilla essence to the suji batter and mix slowly. Do not over beat.

5.
In the last, add Tutti Frutti and give a quick stir.  Pour the batter into the greased cake pan.

6. Bake for 35-40 minutes at 180 degree C until the cake turns nice golden brown in color.

6. Check with a tooth pick, if the tooth pick inserted in the centre of the cake comes out clean, the cake is done, if the tooth pick is sticky, it means the cake is undone.

7. Bake for another 2 to 3 minutes and allow the cake to completely cool down. Flip it and cut the cake into desired shapes.

8. Serve the cake at tea time and enjoy with your loved ones !!

Happy Cooking & Enjoy !!
